Faltering Ancient Adobe
Waterer or dna double helix?
The walk can get stuffed and Leon looks like a craphole from here anyway so bugger it. It’s hard to remember anything interesting happening or seen after the amazing sunrise, a medium sized solar power plant / farm thingy and I haven’t seen a plane, or a helicopter the whole time and then both in one morning. Up until then the only things in the sky were clouds, birds, bugs and Santa clauses (the seeds of the Dandelion flower according to Jess).
Just glad to find somewhere to stay rather than have to make Leon, there’s so few places for me to douse my tootsies in water and the bottoms feel like they’re on fire after such a long days trudging. One old German guy in the Bar la Torre Albergue style accommodation that I nearly left for dead when the door opened as I was leaving. It’s clean but the patio outside is actually a building site or whats left of one, the whole garden is full of broken tiles, bricks, bits of what looks like an old kitchen and bathroom, you name it. A crowd of four arrive and take over the place after Cathy makes it too. I don’t like them and find out later that they are the too cool gang that clique around the shop. Talking about taking buses to save his legs, their leader is a right character but it’s him that I don’t like most of all. Communal meal and ‘goit breath’ who can’t speak Spanish, oh there’s a surprise, is asking his compadre who is a local to ask for more chips and generally being a pain in the arse.
